Starfield’s New Atlantis is bigger than any other city made by Bethesda

With such a vast galaxy comes the need for an immense central hub.

We’re constantly hearing how massive Starfield will be, and it seems the various cities are no exception in that regard.

During an interview with IGN, director Todd Howard explained that there are four major cities in Starfield. New Atlantis, a capital city of the United Colonies, is significantly larger than any cities in Skyrim or Fallout 4.

“It has all the services you would expect, and you can work on your ship there, the factions touch that,” Howard said. “But that’s also the headquarters for Constellation, which is the faction that you join that is the last group of space explorers – kind of this NASA-meets-Indiana Jones-meets-The League of Extraordinary Gentleman [group].”

You can catch a glimpse of New Atlantis in the Starfield gameplay reveal. It certainly looks bustling compared to something like Windhelm from Skyrim.

Bethesda is promising the moon (and every solar system beyond) with Starfield. Its main quest is longer than any Elder Scrolls or Fallout title, and plenty of the explorable planets are handcrafted. Hopefully, this game doesn’t get swallowed up by its hype.
