One of the most anticipated video games of 2022 is unquestionably Bethesda’s Starfield, the open-world RPG from the makers of Skyrim.
Although Starfield is due out next fall, we’ve yet to see it beyond some vague teaser trailers. Given that Bethesda already said we won’t get a good look at the game proper until next summer, the teasing won’t end anytime soon.
If nothing else, the new artwork Bethesda shared is pretty gorgeous. The company has talked a lot about Starfield being a space-faring adventure with lots of planets to explore, and it seems like something with a particular frostbitten tinge is in store for players.

It has a particular aroma of the ice planet Hoth from Star Wars. Though just about everything with a scifi tinge and a cold locale is in that boat, too, I suppose. It’s kind of a motif of video games set in space.
Starfield will be exclusively on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC when it releases in late 2022. As in par for the course of upcoming Bethesda titles such as The Elder Scrolls 6 since Microsoft now owns the company.
