The Star Wars Jedi Survivor release date might be a bit closer than we expected, as it seems like EA might plan on releasing the long-awaited Star Warsi game sometime in the 2023’s first quarter. During EA’s recent earnings call, as Eurogamer first reported, the publisher told investors it planned on releasing a “major IP” before Mar. 31, 2022.
The possible candidates for this major IP are few in number. Most of EA’s major games already have set release dates, including Need for Speed Unbound and the Dead Space remake, which are launching in December and January, respectively. The new Skate game is currently early in development, so barring some unannounced project EA kept very close to its chest, that just leaves Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
Previously, EA only said Jedi Survivor would launch in 2023 and provided no anticipated date or even time frame. Since the game’s initial announcement trailer in May 2022, EA and Respawn have shown approximately nothing from Jedi Survivor – no gameplay, no lore or character teases, nothing.
Assuming the plan is to release Jedi Survivor in March 2023, EA might finally break that silence after Need for Speed launches on Dec. 2, 2022, and Apex Legends season 15 is well underway, when there’s less competition for attention.
Meanwhile, Star Wars challenges are back in Fortnite for a limited time, so grab your lightsaber while you can.
