Kentucky football has been a major disappointment this year, having gone 4 – 7 so far with just one win in the SEC. They’ll play their final game on Saturday, with a chance to end on a positive note during Rivalry Week against the Louisville Cardinals.
The Wildcats have won the last five matchups, including an upset victory last season, but things look much bleaker this year. The offense has been one of the nation’s worst and fans are calling for Mark Stoops’ job.

A win over Louisville would at least pacify many fans, and give them bragging rights for another year over their in-state rivals. How might the game shake out? Here are the predictions from the UKWildcatsWire staff.

Louisville 24 – Kentucky 20
Kentucky is going to be hyped for this game, eager to end on a good win. Cutter Boley will start, and has brought energy to the field when he’s been in. However, the offensive line just isn’t good enough. The defense will keep it close, but the Cardinals win a close one.

Kentucky 21 – Louisville 20
It’s a tough matchup, but Kentucky is playing with nothing to lose. That can be dangerous when there’s everything to be gained from this game. Expect a big announcement game from Freshman quarterback Cutter Boley, as well as the Wildcats defense treating this like their Super Bowl.
