So far this season, rookie San Antonio Spurs wunderkind Victor Wembanyama is having one of the best NBA debuts in the history of the nearly eight-decade old league. The French big man has been putting up 20.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 3.4 blocks per game with San Antonio.
That the Le Chesnay, France, native has been doing this in just 28.8 minutes per game while fouling an average of 2.2 times per game with only 3.5 turnovers per contest as such a high usage player is all the more impressive. That he is shooting 33.5% from beyond the arc, 46.9%, and 81.5% from the charity stripe should strike fear into the hearts of opposing teams, given this may well be the worst we see Wemby play in this league.
The folks behind the “And One Hoops” YouTube channel put together a clip looking at how Wembanyama has done so far in his inaugural NBA campaign.
