Tennessee practiced for the fifth time this spring on Friday at Haslam Field.
Following practice, first-year Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel met with media and discussed his team.
“Five days in, and it’s been awesome, just getting around our players,” Heupel said. “They’ve learned a ton, we’ve learned a ton. Learning how to compete at the level that we want to, how to bring the right amount of energy out to practice and the expectations.
“Guys are flying around, competing really hard, but having a tremendous amount of fun, too, and learning how to grow and build together as a football team.”
Tennessee will conclude spring practices with its annual Chevrolet Orange & White game on April 24 at Neyland Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. EDT.
