The University of Nebraska Athletic Department has announced that the spring football game on Saturday will look a little different than in years past. The annual Red and White game will not feature a traditional two-team scrimmage format but will instead see an offense vs. defense format. The Huskers last used a similar structure in 2016 under then head coach Mike Riley. As a result, the offense will play for the red team, while the white team will play for the defense during Saturday’s scrimmage.

The 2022 Red vs. White Spring Game will take place on Saturday, April 9th, at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. The kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 pm CT, and the Big Ten Network is slated to broadcast the game.
