Sportsbook Wire leaning toward double-digit wins for the Vikings

Do you think this is a Vikings team that can win at least 10 games?

There are a lot of question marks surrounding this Vikings team right now, but Sportsbook Wire’s Tim Heaney is confident in the team reaching double-digit wins despite that.

Heaney doesn’t think the whole schedule will be easy with matchups against the Buccaneers and Titans, two games he is leaning towards Minnesota losing However, Heaney is also leaning toward the Vikings reaching 10 wins, and he would even raise that to 11 if he knows Dalvin Cook will play.

Here’s what he wrote:

The major question that hangs over head coach Mike Zimmer, however, is whether Cook will hold out as he seeks a new contract. He has reported to camp but hasn’t yet committed to playing. Alexander Mattison doesn’t have Cook’s ceiling but would be a solid backup plan to carry the load if needed.

If Cook plays every game for the Vikings, and Justin Jefferson is a competent wide receiver two, I don’t see Minnesota dropping off too much on offense. We’ll see if that happens.
