The Oklahoma Sooners are in an absolute brawl with the Baylor Bears currently and late in the third quarter Lincoln Riley has made the switch from Caleb Williams to Spencer Rattler. It remains to be seen if the decision has anything to do with Williams’ throwing hand being injured after a Bears player stepped on it at the end of a play.
However, Rattler takes over for Williams in a closely contested game with the Sooners losing 17-7.
There is the possibility Rattler relieved Williams because of some shaky play from the true freshmen quarterback in his first tough test on the road. Williams has looked confused, indecisive and also has thrown two very inexplicable interceptions and had less than 100 yards passing.
Caleb Williams is out with 84 pass yards, 0 TDs and 2 INTs.
Spencer Rattler is now under center with Oklahoma down 3.

The Oklahoma Sooners need to find some effectiveness on offense if they hope to stay undefeated in this game. The Baylor Bears have been the more physical team on the second half and have stifled Oklahoma’s offense all game.
It hasn’t gone well for Rattler since entering the game. He’s been under duress on every drop back and the Bears are in complete control on both sides of the ball.
The Sooners defense continues to battle and keep them in the game. But if the offense doesn’t start scoring points, the Sooners will be facing defeat for the first since early in the 2020 season.
