Spencer Dinwiddie’s status for the Disney bubble is still up in the air.
Like DeAndre Jordan, the Brooklyn Nets point guard was among those who tested positive for COVID-19 when the NBA recently had the entire league undergo testing ahead of the restart in late July. And while there have been players in the past who’ve contracted the novel coronavirus and not shown symptoms, this was not the case with Dinwiddie.
Yet, unlike Jordan, Dinwiddie has not ruled himself out for the remainder of the 2019-20 season. He’s trying to make the trip with his Nets teammates.
But Dinwiddie is still very much battling COVID-19. On Wednesday, the point guard tweeted, “I haven’t been in the bed this much since my surgery,” before going back to sleep.
Day 6: I haven’t been in the bed this much since my surgery 😩…back to sleep I go

If Dinwiddie is scratched for the Disney bubble, he’ll be the sixth member of the Nets ruled out for the NBA’s restart. In addition to Jordan, Kevin Durant (right Achilles), Kyrie Irving (right shoulder), Nic Claxton (left shoulder) and Wilson Chandler (elected to opt-out) aren’t traveling with the team to Florida.
