Friday has proven to be a big day for Spencer Dinwiddie.
The Brooklyn Nets point guard was recently diagnosed with COVID-19, and he recently shared on Twitter that he hasn’t “been in the bed this much since my surgery.”
But now, Dinwiddie is finally up and out of bed. Although he’s not quite ready to get back to his training routine, Brooklyn’s 2019-20 leading scorer is hopeful he’ll be able to start training again over the weekend:
Day 8 update: @BrooklynNets dropped off this Watt bike and some 60lb dumbbells immediately after diagnosis, they don’t want me missing any time! I haven’t been able to get on it yet, but finally getting out of bed. Hopefully this weekend I’ll be able to try

When Dinwiddie was first diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, he wasn’t sure about his status for the NBA’s restart. DeAndre Jordan, on the other hand, ruled himself out for the Disney bubble once he confirmed he contracted the illness.
Though now, it appears if Dinwiddie has a clean bill of health, he intends to play for the Nets when the NBA resumes in late July.
