Head coach Deion Sanders’ Colorado football staff has experienced some recent changes with the 2024 season nearly here.
According to BuffZone’s Brian Howell, special teams coordinator Trevor Reilly is “no longer with the program.” Howell’s source wouldn’t comment on whether Reilly resigned from his role or was let go.
A former NFL linebacker who spent time with the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and New York Jets, Reilly was a graduate assistant on Coach Prime’s staff at Jackson State from 2021-22 before joining the Buffs prior to last season.
Reilly played college football at Utah, earning first-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2013.
Per Howell, the move allowed George Helow to land a position on Colorado’s staff. Helow, who spent last season as a special assistant with the Alabama Crimson Tide, is working under the title of senior defensive coach.
Former Dallas Cowboys special teams coach and Texas A&M running backs coach Tommie Robinson will now oversee Colorado’s special teams, according to BuffZone.
