While it might not seem like much of a gamble experimenting with new colorways on OG Jordan silhouettes, it can be pretty risky! These things don’t always work.
That’s why Jordan Brand’s new Obsidian Jordan 13 feels so much like an experiment. We’ve never actually seen this shoe like this before.
The closest thing we’ve gotten to it was the ‘Hornets’ colorway of the 13 from 2015 and even that sneaker was different — it came in a low-top form.
But fret not, folks. This experiment is a good one. Obsidian totally works on the 13 and it was an absolute stroke of brilliance for the brand to try it now. Sykes explains why in the latest episode of Special Delivery.
