Michigan State’s strong showing in Maui has them moving up in Joe Lunardi’s latest “Bracketology” update on ESPN.com.
Lunardi released his latest batch of NCAA Tournament bracket projections on Tuesday, which saw the Spartans move up to a No. 7 seed. Lunardi currently has Michigan State facing off against No. 10 seed Georgia in the first round of the South Region.
Michigan State is one of 10 schools from the Big Ten in Lunardi’s current bracket projection. Purdue is the highest-seeded Big Ten team as a No. 3 seed, with Oregon right behind as a No. 4 seed.
Michigan State is currently 6-2 overall on the year, with a notable victory over North Carolina. The Spartans return to the court on Wednesday in a road Big Ten opener against Minnesota.
