Michigan State wide receiver Nick Marsh was named the National True Freshman of the Week from 247Sports on Sunday.
The honor follows his massive performance against Maryland on Saturday. Marsh had 194 receiving yards and one touchdown on eight receptions to help lead Michigan State to the upset road win over Maryland. Marsh had a 77-yard touchdown catch to tie the game late in the fourth quarter.
Marsh is a former four-star recruit who represented a massive win for Jonathan Smith and his coaching staff when they were able to keep him in the 2024 class. He’s already making a huge impact for the Spartans, starring for Michigan State in just the second game of his career.
