The first year for Hawaii head coach Timmy Chang will be a tough one with so many players transferring due to the issues under former head coach Todd Graham.
It will be a total rebuild and the former Warriors legend will do his best but it likely will be a few years before Hawaii can get back to competing for a conference title which the school did in 2019 as they won the West division.
Bill Connelly’s first edition of SP+ recently came out with its first edition of where teams are ranked heading into the 2022 season. Now we will use those numbers to predict the record of each Mountain West school, and then determine who is expected to be the very early champion.
Hawaii’s SP+ starts out as 122nd and their projected record is 2-11.
