There’s a terrific chance this all bounces back fast if the offense can figure out how to score – and that starts with the offensive line figuring out how to block.
The secondary should be among the Sun Belt’s best, the issues on offense appear to have been addressed, and it’s a big help to be in the Sun Belt West, not the East.
There’s a great shot at to at least double the win total of last year.

The defense should keep the Golden Eagles in every game, but going to Miami will be a problem and traveling to Coastal Carolina should be a loss. Other than that, everything else should be at least a 50/50 game with a shot to win.
The offense still has to prove it can produce, but winning at home against Northwestern State, Arkansas State, and South Alabama is a must, and it needs to take care of Texas State and ULM on the road.
With this group, anything less than six wins and bowl eligibility will be a big disappointment, and it’s even not crazy to think it can battle for the Sun Belt West if it can take care of Louisiana in Hattiesburg.
