- South Carolina did a good job at home last week, hanging tough with the ranked Tennessee Volunteers at Williams-Brice Stadium. The game officially ended up as an ATS push, as the Gamecocks fell 31-27 on their home field as four-point underdogs.
- Florida overpowered Ole Miss, spoiling the debut of Lane Kiffin in Oxford last weekend. The Gators posted at least 10 points in each of the quarters, racking up 642 total yards, 446 passing yards and 196 rushing yards while finishing with a 51-35 victory.
- Gators QB Kyle Trask was impressive, tossing six touchdowns and completing 71.4 percent of his pass attempts.

Money line (ML)
Backing Florida (-834) will cause you to risk more than eight times your potential return. The Gators are unlikely to be tripped up by an old friend, head coach, Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks, but why risk it for such a small amount? AVOID.
Against the spread (ATS)
SOUTH CAROLINA +17.5 (-110) has posted a 3-1-1 ATS mark in their past five trips to Gainesville, and the road team is 5-1-1 ATS in the previous seven meetings. The Gamecocks need to get off to a quick start to cover this number, and it’s a tall order to contain Trask. He certainly looked Heisman-worthy after torching Ole Miss last week, but it’s a little early for that talk. Colorado State transfer QB Collin Hill put up a respectable 290 yards, hooking up with star WR Shi Smith for a 10-140-1 line against a decent Vols D. Carolina has enough firepower to keep the Gators within arm’s length.
Over/Under (O/U)
OVER 57.5 (-110) is the play here, ever so slightly. It might be until the final minutes in the fourth quarter before bettors can feel good about their wager. But both teams easily went over in their opening games, and they’ll do it against each other, too.
