The Chicago Bears are set to battle the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football in Week 9, where Chicago will be looking to break a three-game losing streak before their bye week.
Many Bears fans were excited about getting to watch ESPN’s alternative ManningCast broadcast with Peyton and Eli Manning, which has become a favorite among NFL fans.
But it turns out the Manning brothers are taking a bye week for the Bears-Steelers matchup, and it’s kind of hard to blame them with the Bears on deck. They’re calling just 10 games this season, so they’re careful about the ones they’re picking and choosing.
No ManningCast for Bears/Steelers. Matt Nagy just breathed a sigh of relief.

There’s still a chance the Manning brothers will call a Bears game this season as Chicago and Minnesota face off on Monday Night Football in Week 15. But depending on where both teams are at that point in the season, it could be another game they’ll pass on.
