Sony Michel finished the season on a high note.
The New England Patriots did as well, as they clobbered the New York Jets 28-14 in a comeback win. Cam Newton threw for three touchdowns and caught one — making for the first receiving score by a quarterback history. Jakobi Meyers had a stellar game, but one of the under-the-radar players was Michel.
He had 16 carries for 76 rushing yards, along with three catches for 60 yards and his first receiving touchdown. Michel’s averaged a career-high 5.9 yards per carry this season and he’s proving why he should be the lead back in 2021.
Here’s a look at the catch that separated the Patriots from the Jets in Week 17.

The Patriots have a ton of decisions to make for next season, but fortunately, Michel still has one more year under contract.
