It was a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad night for Kadarius Toney.
In the Kansas City Chiefs’ opening-night loss to the Detroit Lions on Thursday night to kick off the team’s Super Bowl defense, the receiver was targeted five times. He caught one of those Patrick Mahomes throws for a paltry five yards.
The rest? There were drops. Lots of them. Memes were everywhere ripping on Toney, and Chiefs fans wished Mahomes had sent passes to other wideouts instead.
And then there’s this mock mixtape that put together the lowlight reel of the night. Oof. Here it is, and WARNING: There’s NSFW language in there:

Brutal. Mahomes stuck by him though, after the game:
Patrick Mahomes on Kadarius Toney's drops: I trust that he’s going to be the guy who I go to in those crucial moments. … I’m sure those drops will kind of disappear.
