We did not need any more evidence that Karim Benzema is a striker on a different level, but the Real Madrid star gave us more anyway on Tuesday night.
Benzema scored an incredible goal in a friendly against Club América in San Francisco, striking the ball with an almost impossible combination of finesse, accuracy and power.
América goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa could only scramble across the face of his goal and give a courtesy dive as the ball bounded into the side netting.
Benzema marked himself as one of the favorites for the Ballon d’Or after a season in which he scored 42 times in La Liga and the Champions League, helping Madrid win both competitions.
Ahead of the 2022-23 season, it appears that the 34-year-old is nowhere close to slowing down.
