Some Elden Ring fake walls take multiple hits to reveal

Those “hidden path ahead” fake out messages might not be trolling.

Everyone knee-deep in Elden Ring has seen messages suggesting hidden passages where there aren’t any. Well, as it turns out, there might indeed be secrets where you least expect them.

Over on Reddit, user Teristam made a startling discovery in Elden Ring’s Volcano Manor where the Godsick Duo is. There’s a secret room next to nobody has found because (please sit down for this) it allegedly only opens up if you hit it upwards of 50 times. Most hidden passages in Elden Ring (and every FromSoftware RPG before it) only require one or two swings to get rid of the invisible walls. So this is absurd.

There’s video proof too, which you can watch below.

It’s not fake either, as many others are corroborating Teristam’s account.

In the same Reddit thread, Teristam claims that it may take specific weapons to unearth the secret room at Volcano Manor. The Moonveil Katana allegedly doesn’t work, but the Dark Moon Greatsword does. No doubt that it will take fans a while to figure out what’s happening here.

Some are speculating this could be a bug, which is certainly possible. Elden Ring saw a massive patch earlier this week that fixed many bugs, so it’s not like the game is short on glitches.
