Box scores tend to lie at times when used to predict who won a football game (see Wisconsin’s Week 1 loss vs. Penn State).
But in a blowout victory, the ‘wow’ factor of some statistics is worth noting—in addition to the final score.
Well, that’s what happened last night as Wisconsin took care of business against Eastern Michigan, coasting to a 34-7 victory.
The team as a whole looked good yet again. This time, though, the offense found success in the red zone and the defense avoided the big plays that plagued them last week.
Yes, they were playing Eastern Michigan. But there were undoubtedly some good signs from last night’s victory.
