What made this game frustrating was the lack of complementary play between the defense, pitching, and hitting. Texas was coming in hot on a 14-game winning streak and entered the top 25 ranking at No. 21 the day before. So, what would be better than ending the streak and no not that streak, possibly knocking them back out of the rankings, and a stadium full of bubbles? Nothing that the answer is absolutely nothing.
There would have so many great memes and the most important thing for fans, bragging rights. For the baseball team, it would have been a huge boost of confidence heading back into SEC play this weekend after beating a solid team that was playing some good ball. Unfortunately, it was just more of the same and the fans are getting accustomed to seeing one of two things from this squad this year. Either the pitching is on point and the bats are cold or the hitters are hitting but the pitching can’t find the strike zone.
So, I’m not sure what to expect from this team going forward. I can see glimpses of talents across the board it’s just up to Coach Schloss to find a lineup he can trust and the Aggies players to find their swagger again.
