Philadelphia and New York have a rivalry that goes back decades in all four major professional sports. The NBA rivalry between the 76ers and Knicks reached a fever pitch this season after fans from the opposing team took over the Wells Fargo Center during a playoff matchup.
The Knicks biggest star is a Villanova alum and huge Eagles fan, setting up for an awkward situation when Jalen Brunson visited the NovaCare Complex on Wednesday. Accompanied by St. Joe’s point guard, Lynn Greer III.
Brunson finished with an average of 32.4 points per game in the playoffs, second only to the 33 that Joel Embiid averaged when the Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76ers in six games in the first round.
Social media reacts to everything, and Brunson’s visit was no different.
