Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton joined the program during the 2022 offseason after transferring in from Georgia. While he did not do much in his first season with the Tide, he’s stepped his game up in a big way in 2023.
The Week 6 matchup against Texas A&M was an important one not just for the two programs, but for the SEC as a whole. Many doubted the Alabama offense, especially offensive coordinator Tommy Reese and quarterback Jalen Milroe.
Burton finished the game with an impressive stat line. He tallied nine catches, 197 yards and two touchdowns.
He did have the fourth-quarter fumble deep in Alabama’s territory, but three straight stops and a blocked field goal attempt ultimately rendered it moot. We can all pretend it never happened.
Here’s what fan’s had to say.
