After more than a year of anticipation, 2022 No. 2 pick Chet Holmgren finally made his real NBA debut in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 124-104 win over the Chicago Bulls.
The season opener was headlined by Holmgren’s debut after he missed all of last season recovering from a Lisfranc injury he suffered in the 2022 offseason.
In the 20-point win, Holmgren finished with 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, four rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes. He also went 2-of-3 from 3.
The 21-year-old is expected to play a huge role for the Thunder this season as their starting center.
