Three different Big Ten West teams lost at home in critical conference games during the early afternoon slate on Saturday. Divisional teams Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota lost at home to Michigan, Illinois, and Purdue.
The Hawkeyes fell to the Wolverines 27-14, the Badgers lost to the Illini 34-10, while the Golden Gophers lost to Purdue 20-10. The Hawkeyes and Gophers both suffered their first conference defeats of the season, while Wisconsin has now dropped two straight conference games after losing to Ohio State last week too.
