Notre Dame football received a big win in recruiting this weekend when four-star quarterback Noah Grubbs of Florida made his commitment to the Fighting Irish.

Grubbs checks in at 6-4, 188-pounds and ranks as the cycle’s 10th best quarterback according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Grubbs had at least 25 offers when he committed to Notre Dame, choosing the Fighting Irish over the likes of Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas A&M and others.

It was another recruiting win for Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman and quarterback coach Gino Guidugli who have helped create in uptick in recruiting the position in recent years.

As you could probably expect, social media was excited about the Grubbs commitment over the weekend. Some of the best reactions can be found below.

If Hayes Fawcett doesn’t say it then is it really official? Fawcett let out the tweet to tell the world of the Noah Grubbs decision on Saturday afternoon.
Pretty good run going for Notre Dame at the quarterback position. One of these years the Irish might not need to dive into the transfer portal!
Noah Grubbs would certainly appear to qualify as a true football guy.

The uptick is obvious to anyone paying attention. No offense to Drew Pyne or Tyler Buchner, but Deuce Knight and Noah Grubbs are from a different aisle.
When they go head-to-head lately it sure does seem like Notre Dame wins a lot more often than not. Now, can the Irish turn that into a national championship like Michigan did last year?
Noah Grubbs was quick to call Notre Dame home on Sunday!
A very nice recruiting win indeed for Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame!
