Skip Bayless rubs salt in wounds after Patriots’ loss in Miami

We all knew this was coming….

Skip Bayless is wasting no time kicking the New England Patriots while they’re down, following a 20-7 road loss to the Miami Dolphins in Sunday’s season-opener.

The FOX Sports analyst took to social media after the game and continued to hang his hat on the fact that the team has yet to win a playoff game since the departure of legendary quarterback Tom Brady, who just so happened to win his Week 1 game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It was a comment aimed directly at coach Bill Belichick, who Bayless holds responsible for Brady leaving New England.

“It’s going to be a long season for Brady-less Belichick,” Bayless posted on Twitter.

It’s hard to refute the fact that the Patriots haven’t looked very good in the aftermath of the Brady era. To be fair, however, they didn’t look very good when he was actually on the team in his final year, either.

The receiving corps isn’t all that impressive, and the team is still fighting through growing pains after implementing a new offensive scheme under Matt Patricia, who is handling the offensive play-calling with Josh McDaniels now coaching in Las Vegas.

It’s only Week 1 and the sky is already falling in New England, according to outsiders. How many times has Belichick heard that narrative, again?

Too many times to count.
