Sixers will debut Nike ‘City Edition’ jersey vs. Pacers on Saturday

Looking to improve to 14-6 at the expense of the Pacers, the Sixers will be debuting some new threads on Saturday night.

After defeating the New York Knicks on Friday night, the Sixers will be back in Philadelphia for the second night of a back-to-back when they play host to the Indiana Pacers.

Aside from Joel Embiid playing and T.J. McConnell returning, there was another piece of news coming from Wells Fargo Center prior to the game’s tip-off — Philadelphia will be debuting their “City Edition” Nike jerseys for the contest.

We first got a look at the threads a few weeks ago, and as the franchise attempts to improve to 14-6 at the expense of Indiana, they’ll do so wearing the jersey for the first time this season.

Entering the contest, the Sixers will be aiming for their seventh win in their past eight contests. Defensively, they enter play on November 30 as one of the top clubs in the Association, ranking fourth in both defensive efficiency (103.1 points per 100 possessions) and points allowed (103.6 per game).

With Josh Richardson doubtful for the contest, Brett Brown may once again be leaning on rookie Matisse Thybulle. He may also count on his reserves to play some meaningful minutes as the team will be competing for the second time in as many days.

No matter what happens, though, the Sixers will have a fresh look, even if they’re still a bit fatigued from their victory against the Knicks on Friday night.
