The NBA is laced with a great deal of young talent. When LeBron James, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard and others decide to hang it up, the next generation of superstars are ready to be the new faces of the league.
Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey is one of those young faces. At 23 years old and in his fourth season in the league, Maxey is averaging 26.2 points, 6.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 37.4% from deep. He has done a great job of running the offense and has taken steps forward on the defense.
HoopsHype has put together the top 25 players under the age of 25 and Maxey was ranked fifth:
The main question for Maxey going forward this season is: Will he earn All-NBA honors this season? Because All-Star seems like a lock for him in 2023-24. The answer could be yes if he maintains this elite level of guard play going for Philadelphia in the second half of the campaign.
Maxey looks to lead the Sixers deeper into the upcoming playoffs. Much will depend on the health of Joel Embiid and his ability to continue developing.
