While the Philadelphia 76ers are focused on getting ready for the playoffs in this final stretch of the regular season, their young players down in the G League continue making some strides.
Mac McClung, who Philadelphia signed to a two-way deal shortly before the All-Star break and stole everybody’s attention at the slam dunk contest out in Utah, has been putting up big numbers for the Delaware Blue Coats down in the G League. Over his past three games, he’s averaging 28.7 points, 4.3 assists, and 1.7 rebounds as the Blue Coats have won three games in a row.
That type of production earned McClung the G League Player of the Week award as he continues to work toward an opportunity in the NBA.
Sixers two-way PG Mac McClung is the NBA G League player of the week, according to sources. McClung averaged 28.7 points, 4.3 assists and 1.7 steals to lead the Delaware Blue Coats to a 3-0 record in game played Feb. 27 through Sunday.
