Sixers traveling back to Philly, game against Celtics on for the moment

The Philadelphia 76ers are traveling back home after having to stay the night in Oklahoma City.

The Philadelphia 76ers had to stay in Oklahoma City on Sunday night after their game with the Thunder was postponed due to contact tracing within the organization. It was due to their previous matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.

After spending an extra night on the road, the team is flying back to Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, and their matchup with the Boston Celtics is still on for Wednesday at home. Of course, the league will still have to continue to contact trace within the team and determine the status for the majority of their team on Tuesday when the injury report is released. That will determine whether the Sixers will have enough players to play.

Sunday was Philadelphia’s first postponed game of the season, but it was the second time they have had to stay an extra night on the road. The first was on Jan. 7 when Seth Curry tested positive for the coronavirus before a matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.
