Sixers’ Tobias Harris discusses shoulder injury that is bothering him

Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris discusses the shoulder injury that is bothering him.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been dealing with so many injuries and COVID issues up and down the roster that it all must be numb to the team now.

So when a report came out that Tobias Harris is dealing with tendinitis and shoulder bursitis, it is almost like nothing new to this team at the moment.

After the team’s 109-98 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, Harris revealed he suffered the shoulder injury back in November during the team’s long 6-game road trip. It has been bothering him ever since then.

“It happened earlier in the season when we were on the road in Utah,” said Harris. “I’ve been kinda monitoring it. It’s one of those things that I feel every single day since then, but the pain is doable enough to play with. When the time is right, I’ll probably look into some things to do for that, but right now, I can manage through it.”

The shoulder injury could be something that is the reason for Harris’ poor shooting numbers. He did add that it is something that gets re-aggravated every once in a while.

“It’s been re-aggravated in numerous games,” he added. “It’s not like make or break, it’s just irritating pain. More so if someone hits it or after a night’s sleep is where I feel it the most.”

As the season continues, this is something to keep an eye on. Harris is so important to what the Sixers do on the offensive end of the floor and his health is going to be something to really keep an eye on as the season moves forward.
