The Philadelphia 76ers will return home to face the New York Knicks on Wednesday after a 1-2 road trip and they will have to go to war without their starting shooting guard.
Josh Richardson was ruled out earlier in the day on Wednesday with a hip injury and it comes at a tough for the Sixers as they continue to try and build chemistry. The team’s projected starting lineup has only played six games together all season and Wednesday will be the team’s 14th on the season. That’s tough to grow together as a team in so little time.
To replace Richardson, the Sixers will turn to Furkan Korkmaz who has continued to make his mark in Philadelphia. He has become a trusted part of coach Brett Brown’s rotation and he earns the start in place of the injured starter.

Korkmaz is averaging 9.5 points and he’s shooting 39.3% from deep in 13 games including three starts. This offers another opportunity for him to really have a stranglehold on a rotation spot and continue to grow as a player.
Tipoff in Philadelphia is set for 7:00 p.m. EST. [lawrence-related id=19676,19654,19647]
