Sixers to have Joel Embiid return from hand surgery vs. Warriors

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid will return on Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors.

The Philadelphia 76ers are moving on after the sudden passing of NBA legend Kobe Bryant and as they get set to take on the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, they will have a big return to their lineup.

Superstar big man Joel Embiid will officially make his return to the floor on Tuesday after missing nine games to undergo surgery on his left hand to repair a torn radial collateral ligament. He dislocated his finger on January 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder and then underwent surgery on January 10 to repair the issue. Philadelphia went 6-3 in his absence.

Going up against a smaller Warriors team, and wanting to honor Bryant the right way, should allow Embiid to have a big night in his return to the floor.

Embiid mentioned on the day of the tragic passing that Bryant was the reason he even started playing basketball as a kid. Tuesday will undoubtedly be an emotional night for the Sixers All-Star player.

Tipoff from the Wells Fargo Center is set for 7:00 p.m. EST. [lawrence-related id=24416,24405,24387]
