Sixers to bring back Kelly Oubre Jr. on a 2-year $16.3 million deal

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to a deal to keep Kelly Oubre Jr. in the City of Brotherly Love.

The Philadelphia 76ers have had a busy first night of free agency. Not only did they meet with and eventually sign Paul George to a 4-year deal, they were able to bring in veterans Eric Gordon and Andre Drummond on deals while also keeping one of their own.

Kelly Oubre Jr., who proved to be a steal in the 2023-24 season on a veteran minimum deal, has agreed to a 2-year $16.3 million deal to remain in Philadelphia. He averaged 15.4 points and 5.0 rebounds for the Sixers.

Oubre proved to be a very valuable piece to Philadelphia. He’s somebody who can produce on both ends of the floor and he is one of the more athletic players in the league.

As the Sixers now move forward, the challenge will be to fill out the roster around George, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey. They have been able to do so thus far, but there is still work to do for this front office.
