Sixers to be without Tyrese Maxey for road trip finale vs. Raptors

The Philadelphia 76ers will be without Tyrese Maxey for their road trip finale against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.

The Philadelphia 76ers will once again be very short-handed on the court as they continue to try to pick off wins. As they visit the Toronto Raptors on Easter Sunday for the finale of a two-game road trip, the Sixers will be missing some key pieces.

Joel Embiid, De’Anthony Melton and Robert Covington all remain sidelined as they continue to recover and rehab from their injuries, but they will be joined on the sideline by All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey.

Maxey was placed on the injury report on Sunday afternoon due to left hip tightness, and the Sixers ruled him out after his pregame warmup.

Even without Maxey, the Sixers should still walk away with a win over the Raptors. Toronto has lost 12 in a row and is missing many of its key pieces such as Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett, and Immanuel Quickley.

Tip off from Scotiabank Arena is set for 6 p.m. EDT.
