Sixers to be without stars Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris vs. Raptors

The Philadelphia 76ers will be without Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris against the Toronto Raptors.

The Philadelphia 76ers will get their preseason schedule underway on Monday when they head north to take on the Toronto Raptors up in Canada. This will be the beginning of what they hope will be a successful season after coming up short in the 2021 postseason.

The Sixers will obviously be a little shorthanded as they will be missing All-Star Ben Simmons on Monday. The 25-year old will continue his holdout as he tries to force a trade, but Philadelphia will also be without two other starters as well.

Joel Embiid will miss the game due to rest and Tobias Harris is out as well due to right knee soreness. Considering that this is just preseason, there is no need to really push either guy at this moment in time. Everybody knows what to expect from these two when the season begins.

Philadelphia and the Raptors will tip-off at 7 p.m. EDT from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. It will be the first game in Toronto for the Raptors since February of 2020 after they had to play the 2020-21 season in Tampa, FL due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
