Harden, in 21 games with the Sixers, averaged 8.9 free throws per game. The two were tough to stop; the opposition often had no choice but to foul.
For their careers, Embiid attempts 9.6 free throws per game while Harden attempts 8.7 per game. Those are the highest active free throw attempts per game numbers in the league.

The ability of both Embiid and Harden to get to the foul line is a very important aspect for the Sixers on offense. If the offense bogs down, Philadelphia can put the ball in either of their hands and get to the line. Very often, just seeing points go up on the board is enough to get a team into a groove again.
