Sixers star Tyrese Maxey says he’d want to be Spider-Man if not in NBA

Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey said he’d want to be Spider-Man if he wasn’t in the NBA.

The NBA summer league is a time for the young players to make an impression on whatever team they are on in order to push themselves forward in their basketball careers. It is also a time for fun. It is summer, after all.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey is out in Las Vegas supporting the young players as they continue on their basketball journey. Maxey, along with other young NBA rising stars, was asked what they would want to be if they were not playing basketball for a living.

Maxey thought about it for a split second and yelled that he would want to be Spider-Man. Obviously, the young man is a big Marvel superhero fan.

For now, Maxey is an important piece of the Sixers as he is coming off a second season in the NBA where he averaged 17.5 points and 4.3 assists and he shot a robust 48% from deep after the All-Star break. There is a lot to like about his game and he is only going to get better considering he is only 21 years old.

The dream of being a superhero will just have to wait.
