The Philadelphia 76ers had star big man Joel Embiid return to the lineup on Friday after he missed Thursday’s game due to being in the league’s health and safety protocols and he was having a dominant night. It looked like he hadn’t missed a beat as he had 23 points on 8-for-11 shooting.
However, in the third quarter, he took a scary fall after driving in for a dunk on Wizards big man Moe Wagner. It looked like his left knee seemed to hyperextended a bit and he was immediately grabbing it while he was on the ground.
The entire Sixers organization plus the city of Philadelphia held its collective breath as even a stretcher came out for him. The big fella eventually got up and he limped off the court under his own power into the locker room. After some time, the big man is now out for the game. He will undergo an MRI on his knee.

The Sixers will now have to finish off the Wizards without the services of their star player.
