While the Philadelphia 76ers are focused on preparing for the 2023-24 season, star big man Joel Embiid had an important decision to make regarding international competition.
With the 2024 Olympics coming up, Embiid had three options he could play for: his native Cameroon, France or America. He has citizenship in both France and America, which gave him options for the Paris Olympic games.
On Thursday, the big fella announced his decision: Team USA. He will join a loaded squad that will likely feature LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant and Jayson Tatum as America looks to take home the gold medal.

Embiid is the reigning MVP after leading the league in scoring: 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists while being a three-level scorer and an elite defender. He is going to make a big difference for Team USA as it prepares for the Olympics.
