The Philadelphia 76ers have a big matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday in a matchup that will provide them with a real test when it comes to where they are at this moment in time.
The Grizzlies are playing very good basketball and they are led by a young star in Ja Morant who will look to lead the team to yet another win. Memphis will enter the contest with a 35-17 record and sitting at No. 3 in the West heading into this game.
The Sixers will have to battle without their star big man in Joel Embiid. The big fella has been carrying a heavy load as of late having to lead the Sixers to wins and having to play at a spectacular level in order to do so. He will be out against the Grizzlies on Monday due to a planned rest day.
The #Sixers center will miss the game because of planned rest. https://t.co/dZShb6eOlX

It is a little surprising that Embiid will rest against the Grizzlies rather than against the Sacramento Kings, but on the flip side, he has been playing at a very elite level. The Sixers need him to be fresh as they move forward with this season and sometimes, a guy needs rest to keep himself upright.
