The Philadelphia 76ers already got a late scratch when they found out that Seth Curry will be out for their matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday due to right shoulder soreness. The Sixers will start Furkan Korkmaz in his place.
However, they were dealt another really big blow right before tipoff when they found out that Joel Embiid will now be out for this one due to right rib soreness. Andre Drummond will now start in his place against a tough Grizzlies team.
Embiid has been dealing with right side pain recently so it’s not too much of a surprise. It’s just tough for Philadelphia that it came so very late to take on a tough center in Steven Adams for the Grizzlies.

This will be Drummond’s 11th start of the season and he is used to being a starter in this league during his time before Philadelphia. He is more than capable of filling in for Embiid in this one.
