The James Harden vs. Philadelphia 76ers saga continues as the team convened at its training complex in Camden, New Jersey, on Monday for media day. After the session, the Sixers head to Colorado State University for training camp.
Harden requested his trade on June 30 when he exercised his $35.6 million player option for the 2023-24 season. It was not to return to Philadelphia. It was to facilitate a trade out of the City of Brotherly Love with his eyes on the Los Angeles Clippers.
Harden, who obviously wants out, will not attend media day with the team. This is another attempt to push the Sixers to trade him to the Clippers.
ESPN Sources: In what’s expected to be a continued attempt to push for a trade, Philadelphia 76ers star James Harden isn’t in attendance for the team’s media day today. Harden remains upset that the organization hasn’t moved him to the Clippers.

This should not come as a big surprise. It’s obvious Harden wants nothing to do with the organization. The question becomes whether The Beard will be with the team for training camp on Tuesday in Colorado.
