Sixers star guard James Harden breaks silence on his All-Star snub

Philadelphia 76ers star guard James Harden breaks his silence after his big snub from the All-Star game.

The Philadelphia 76ers received shocking news on Thursday when they found out that James Harden would not be named a 2023 All-Star. The NBA announced the reserves for both the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference and while Joel Embiid made it for the Sixers, Harden did not.

Harden, who’s averaging 21.4 points, 11 assists and 6.4 rebounds while shooting 39.4% from deep was a surprising snub from the game. The two big names that were a bit of a surprise to make the team over Harden are Chicago’s DeMar DeRozan and Milwaukee’s Jrue Holiday. Both are terrific players, but they probably shouldn’t have made it over Harden.

Harden took to Instagram to react to his disappointment with one simple word: disrespect.

Harden and the Sixers will just have to use this as motivation as they move forward with their season. Philadelphia has its eyes set on a bigger prize and the Sixers will need everybody to be at their best when the time calls for it.
