Things have gone from bad to worse for the Philadelphia 76ers. Not only are they already missing Ben Simmons for an extended period of time, but they now could be missing Joel Embiid now as well.
Embiid left in the first quarter of Wednesday’s 108-94 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers and further testing will decide his fate for the immediate future. He will officially undergo on MRI on Thursday while the team has a home matchup with the New York Knicks. That leaves his status for Thursday very much in doubt.
Embiid had three points in the 7:36 of playing time he played before leaving.
Joel Embiid said he will have an MRI tomorrow.

Undergoing an MRI normally does not bring good news. Obviously, nobody really knows until the testing is done, but this is not a good sign for the Sixers going forward.
It also doesn’t help that the Sixers two big money men, Tobias Harris and Al Horford, came up very small against a hapless Cavaliers team and the team is now 9-21 on the road. Things are not good right now in Sixer land. [lawrence-related id=26548,26532,26523]
